Including Images in Web Pages

Typically images you include in Web pages are GIFs (Graphics Interchage Format) because this is a standard graphic format used by all browsers.

To include images, we use the <IMG> tag.

The <IMG> tag must at least have the information SRC=filename.

     <IMG SRC="filename">

Example:

     <IMG SRC="earth.gif">
