As logistics officer I was responsible for supplying the house, office, and camp site with everything they needed. Like food, furniture, and maintaining the trucks. It was a great job where you got up in the morning having no idea what was going to happen that day. And it is very rewarding, you get to see the fruits of your labor immediately and are always on the move!

I was also able to interact a lot with the locals with this position. Since I was the one buying the supplies, I was often in the market haggling in my awful French and changing money from Noveau Zaires to Dollars and back ($1 = 4000 NZ).
